Cost Per Lead is an online advertising pricing model, where the companies pay for a set price for each customer that signs-up to build a newsletter, reward program or customer acquisition program. Cost Per Lead (CPL) is used by companies to connect with consumers that are passionate about their product or services. This is more valuable to the company since the customers sign-up voluntarily. The company is not charged, if the visitor fails to successfully sign-up for the campaign.
